Position: Customer Service Representative I

Department: Operations

Reports to: Operations Officer and Direct Supervisor

Summary: As a Bank Customer Service Representative I, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction. You will be the face of our bank, responsible for assisting customers with their inquiries, resolving issues, and promoting our financial products and services. Your primary focus will be on providing a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities:

Customer Assistance: Provide courteous and professional assistance to bank customers by addressing their inquiries, account issues, and requests via in-person, phone, or online communication.

Account Management: Assist customers with opening and closing accounts, updating personal information, and explaining various banking products and services.

Problem Resolution: Resolve customer concerns, complaints, and discrepancies promptly and efficiently, adhering to the bank's policies and procedures.

Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on the bank's financial products, services, and promotions to effectively cross-sell and upsell when appropriate.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized customer records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and security protocols.

Cash Handling: Handle cash transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and currency exchanges, accurately and securely.

Compliance: Adhere to all banking regulations, policies, and security measures to protect the interests of the bank and its customers.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive work environment, and participate in ongoing training and development.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in finance or a related field is a plus.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Basic knowledge of banking operations and products.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Customer-centric attitude and a commitment to delivering excellent service.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Prior customer service or retail experience is preferred but not required.

The compensation for this position consists of a base salary or hourly wage along with a competitive benefits package to include medical, dental, life, paid holidays and vacation, and participation in our company-sponsored 401k plan.
